It was my first experience at DK Hair Salon and I am definitely going back again next time I need a hair cut. Ian was great; my husband and I loved the style he cut my hair in and agreed that it looks great. He was also very friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. I would recommend it to any one. moved here over a year ago. I had been going to the same stylist in another state for several years. I was very apprehensive about finding the right hair salon in San Diego. DK Hair put all those thoughts to rest. From the moment I met Marissa who is my colorist and Ian my fabulous stylist I knew I had made the right choice. They are both very easy and comfortable to work with. My hair looks wonderful every time I leave the shop. I highly recommend DK Hair.

DK Hair truly takes the time to understand what it is that YOU want, not just impose what they want to do. They never act as if they know best by overlooking what your own concerns and goals are. They help inform you on what products, tools and techniques may be damaging your hair, as well as which ones to try to reach your goals. They are friendly, helpful and professional in all areas of service. Never a wait when you have an appointment. $20 wash & blow-out’s for that special night on the town….LOVE them! Great social events throughout the year @ the salon. Facebook & Twitter deals and steals as well.

The magazine’s 13th annual SALON TODAY 200 issue profiled the selected salons in its January 2010 issue. The 200 salons were selected for their best business practices from applications submitted by SALON TODAY readers, who represent the 25,000 top-producing salons and spas in the country.
The magazine honored applicants in 11 different best practice categories, including Compensation and Benefits, Recruitment Training, Customer Service, Retention and Reward Programs, Advanced Education, Marketing, Technology, Environmental Sustainability, Retail Programs, Inventory Control and Sales Growth. DK Hair was honored in the following: Growth.
“Historically, the SALON TODAY 200 focused strictly on sales growth, but this year we recognized that strong business leadership requires the mastery of a number of different best business practices,” said Stacey Soble, editor-in-chief of SALON TODAY. “The salons named to the SALON TODAY 200 for 2010 not only proved they excel in one or more of these areas, they also have created rewarding environments for their staff members and standout experiences for their clients.”

I like to stick to the same people in a salon but because of some scheduling conflicts, I’ve had to see other people (which made me nervous) but every person I’ve seen there has been amazing! For cut I’ve seen: Lexi, Stephani and Kerry (most recent) and they each did such a good job! For color I’m seeing Lindsey. Seriously, I’ve brought pics with me for the color I wanted and NEVER has anyone been able to achieve it but I forgot to bring a pic with me on one of my visits with Lindsey so I vaguely explained what I wanted and she got it exactly what I wanted! Looooove DK!

Our TTI, (Third Thusday Inspiration) class this month was great as well, being that our haircutting stylists worked closely with DK colorists to create great end results for the chosen hair models. Look for the before and after pictures for that class. They were great improvements and a lot of fun.
